Dom Pérignon’s Creative Director Lenny Kravitz has reimagined the iconic Dom Pérignon bottle, working hammered metal across the shield, creating a patina that lends the metal an inalterable, contemporary vibe.

The bouquet is mesmerizing, ripe, and complex. The opening notes are a blend of dark spices and cocoa which develop very quickly into fruit aromas. Fruit reigns supreme, with roasted fig and apricot and candied orange. The overall effect exudes smoky accents.

The fullness of the wine is immediately striking. Its intensity and succulence set the tone through the sweetness and crisp punch of the flavors. The silky mouthfeel melts into a smooth, tight, and grainy structure with just a hint of vegetable flavors. The wine expresses an appealing brininess and saline character.

The weather in 2006 was generally warm and dry, although there were some contrasts. A heat wave hit during July, but August was unseasonably cool and damp. September brought another stretch of warm summer weather that saved the vintage, drying out the few places where botrytis was developing and leading to above average fruit ripeness. Harvesting began on September 11 and continued for nearly three weeks.

Beskrivelse

DOM PERIGNON LENNY KRAVITZ ROSÉ 2006

DOM PERIGNON LENNY KRAVITZ ROSÉ is showing well, offering up an expressive bouquet of bitter orange, red berries, apple and a delicate hint of dried flowers and herbs. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and broad, with a fine mousse, ripe acids and chalky phenolic structure, especially on the finish, which testifies to the fully 20% of still red wine that was included in the blend. This is a vinous, gastronomic rosé that numbers among the decided successes of the 2006 vintage.

Tribute to Pinot Noir

Dom Pérignon Rosé is a tribute to Pinot Noir. To work with Pinot Noir continually requires excellence, and humility. In that regard, Dom Pérignon Rosé is a paradox to the point of contradiction, as it is the perfect balance of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Although it took over ten years to reach the light of day, the color of Dom Pérignon Rosé dares to express all the tension between youth and maturity, between exhibition and restraint. Dom Pérignon Rosé keeps the Pinot Noir promise by making it sing out loud, on a clear, vibrant and fragile note.
